Spring Bulbs

Spring bulbs bring a splash of colour when everything is drab and grey. As most of the Common is given to grass and (now) has a lot of tree cover, spring flowers are the perfect choice and generally, once planted, bulbs naturalise and come back up year after year. That's better for the environment too for many reasons.

SNUG organises planting sessions, mostly for children, every autumn. Over the years, children, teachers and parents from many local schools and nurseries (including Jubilee, Northwold, Benthal, Tawhid, Olive and the Yesodey Hatorah Schools, Appleblossom Nursery, and the North London Muslim community Centre) have planted many thousands of bulbs.
